JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition PurposeThe Market Development Agronomist is jointly responsible with the Area Sales Manager to achieve or exceed the established regional and territory sales targets by enabling the sales team success by utilizing their agronomic skills to advance and position the full Bayer portfolio of seed, GM traits, crop protection, biologics and application technology for tailored solutions with customers. Management of large-scale field trial testing program generating commercial seed and crop protection data used to support product positioning and technical expertise transfer. The Market Development agronomist will also provide technical support and training with strategic retail partners, Bayer Area Sales managers and Sales Representatives to enable selling with confidence. The Market Development Agronomist is expected to represent Bayer in a professional manner, championing corporate policies with respect to safety, business conduct, respect in the workplace and compliance in the performance of their tasks and activities.
